Chapter CA1-L was chartered in 1999 and is 1 of 24 Chapters in the California District. The National organization, Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) was founded in 1977 and has grown to more than 75,000 members in the U.S., Canada and in 53 foreign countries. The GWRRA is the world's largest single-marquee social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles -- and some would say, the world's largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization. We support safe riding and take great pride in our Rider Education Program. Our Rider education includes motorcycle skills development, CPR / First-AID and public Motorist Awareness.
We invite you to join us at our monthly gathering for some fun, to make new friends, learn some safety and enjoy group riding. We routinely have an attendance between 25-30 members and follow the breakfast with a ride thru the spectacular central coast. We have a lot of activities to choose from including attending other Chapter, District, Regional or National rallies, motorcycle camping, dinner rides and POI (Point of Interest) trips.. There is also a great knowledge base within this group that you can tap into for safe riding techniques, bike maintenance, and experienced mentoring.
Once you join GWRRA, you belong to the National organization and you can participate with as many Chapters as you choose. You decide your own level of involvement and time. Wherever you go, wherever you travel, you're welcomed. GWRRA membership opens doors to friendships everywhere you ride! Monthly Chapter get-togethers (often light-hearted exchanges of information at a breakfast location) are pleasant, social occasions. There are no expectations, riding requirements, elections, politics, required uniforms or Chapter dues.
Please come and join us for breakfast!
